Mark Scott joined Kaufman, Rossin & Co. in October 2000 and is a principal in the estate and trust department. He is the Firm's specialist in international estate tax planning. Prior to joining the firm, he practiced law with an estate and trust boutique in Boca Raton.

Mark holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation and a Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida.

He is a member of The Florida Bar and the Tax Section's Executive Council, the Boca Raton Estate Planning Council, and the Dade County Bar Association. Recently, he was the Co-Chair of the 7th Annual Joint Tax and Estate Planning Seminar. Mark also serves on the Board of Directors for the Mount Sinai Hospital Young Presidents Club. Over the years, he has been a professional advisor for the United Way and provided pro bono legal representation through various entities.

Mark's areas of concentration include complex estate tax planning, gift tax planning, pension planning and estate tax examinations. Mark enjoys the sophisticated challenges offered in the nonresident alien tax planning and offshore trust planning regimes.
